Kelly Norton, Attorney: Of Counsel
Kelly Norton started her career with Russell Law back in 2010 where she served as a bar advocate pursuant to Rule 3:03 and represented indigent defendants in Suffolk County. Armed with a Bachelor of Science degree in criminal litigation from Northeastern University and her Juris Doctorate degree from Suffolk University Law School, Ms. Norton became a licensed attorney in Massachusetts and New Hampshire in 2012. During that time, she continued her work with Russell Law as a valuable associate focusing primarily on criminal defense. Ms. Norton has also provided legal advocacy on issues ranging from housing, immigration, personal injury, social security and disability, employment, and family and probate law through volunteer work with the Women’s Lunch Place and the Women’s Bar Association. In 2013, Ms. Norton accepted a position as an assistant district attorney in Middlesex County. As a prosecutor, she has tried over two dozen trials and conducted countless evidentiary hearings, including dangerous hearings, motions to suppress, probation violations, and motions in limine. Throughout the County, Ms. Norton has handled all types of charges ranging from misdemeanors to major felonies. Her experience over the past several years has shaped her into a sharp and seasoned litigator with the confidence and capability to handle any type of criminal matter from a clerk-magistrate hearings to trials and probation violations. Kelly is pleased to be back to where her journey all started and to continue her passion in criminal defense litigation!
